At Security Defense our principal service consists of selling private security services. However, Security Defense is a full service security corporation that also provides Loss Prevention, Personal Executive Protection, Emergency Response, Patrol Services, and Store Testing, as well.
Armed & Unarmed Security Officers
Commonly requested by companies looking to add or improve security measures on their property in order to deter liabilities and prevent incidents from occurring on their site. This work is provided on hourly basis either part-time or full-time. All of our Security Officers are licensed by the State of California, The Bureau of Security & Investigative Services (BSIS) and are trained to provide the highest level of professionalism and public relations. Our Security Officers are trained to have the ability to use logic to define the problem, collect information, establish facts to draw valid conclusions, and to interpret information to deal with abstract variables for dealing with unfamiliar situations and to respond promptly with confidence.
Emergency Response
A service that is provided as "needed basis". These services are usually requested as a last mean of resort, and are usually needed when alarm systems are non-operable, broken window displays exist, and overnight construction or repairs will be conducted in a place of business.
Security Patrol Services
This is a vehicle service that is offered hourly and on weekly basis to properties that are large in size. Such service is provided in a company marked vehicle such as Ford Rangers or small fuel efficient vehicles with the words "Private Security". All Security Patrol Vehicles are equipped with a rotating amber light bar, a Detex clock scanner to report the security patrol visits, a cell phone to contact the local authorities when necessary, a high voltage flashlight to be used on dark areas, and a fire extinguisher for emergency needs. This service is recommended for clients who have multiple nearby properties, shopping centers, large construction sites, parking lots, large HOA’s, crowd control, etc.
Executive Protection
Security Defense employs Off-duty, and Retired Law Enforcement Officers who are experienced and skilled to provide services with confidentiality, trust, and full discretion. All Officers are licensed by the Bureau Of Security and Investigative Services as Unarmed and Armed Officers and their primary police employer to carry a conceal weapon. Our "Special Officers Team (SOT)" are professionally dressed in proper attire depending on the type of work activity provided and their work environment. Such services provided consist of low to high risk protection services, armed & unarmed protection escorts, travel escorts, diplomatic protection, executive & V.I.P. protection, employee termination, business strikes, business meetings, music, movie & tour protection, sport events, concerts, and retail centers.
Concierge and Front Door Security
The Security Concierge will ensure that entrance is only by authorized individuals. The Security Concierge will respond to residents request and inquires and works to address resident concerns in accordance with company’s customer service standards. Informs guests of amenities, answer the telephone in a professional manner, and assists guests with any questions or directions. The Security Concierge will listen and respond to guest inquiries using a positive and gracious approach to all activities. Our Security Concierge officers are train to have the ability to use logic to define the problem, collect information, establish facts to draw valid conclusions, and to interpret information to deal with abstract variables for dealing with unfamiliar situations. Our Security Concierge officers are skilled with outstanding customer service skills and have the ability to read, comprehend and write simple instructions or short correspondence and memos. Our Security Concierge come with the ability to move objects (lift, push, pull, blance, carry) up to 25 pounds, and have a positive, upbeat demeanor.
Security Crossing Guards
Our Security Crossing Guards will escort school children across a public road in a professional manner. The Security Crossing Guards have the responsibility for the safe crossing of school children at each location. The Crossing Guards will be licensed by the State of California, Bureau of Security & Investigation Services as a licensed Security Officer and will be required to complete the basic guard training of the Powers to Arrest and security observation & report writing techniques. Our Security Crossing Guards will have the necessary equipment and instructions to be visible to both vehicle and pedestrian traffic, observes traffic flow, watches for gaps, in order to effectively halt traffic; observes that all vehicles are reducing their speed in preparation to stop. • After traffic is halted by the appropriate sign and hand signals, escorts school roadway until the school children have reached a place off the traveled lane and observes that school children comply with applicable safety precautions within the immediate vicinity. • When necessary, reports those students or other persons who fail to cooperate with the Security Crossing Guard directions to the affected school principal or other appropriate authority. • Observes and submits essential evidence (i.e., characteristics of automobile, driver description, time of day, direction of travel, etc.) to proper authorities when motorists and/or pedestrians violate the California Vehicle Code and/or Crossing Guard directions near the assigned location. • Notifies and/or requests someone to notify proper authorities in emergency situations; observes and reports actions of suspicious or unusual characters at or near the assigned crossing locations. • Keeps records and reports relative to activities, persons, incidents, etc. at or near the assigned Crossing Guard location.
Trailer Security
Security Defense offers portable security offices that are ground level and meet all OSHA requirements. The portable security offices are air conditioned and have heaters for all weather inclines. This service is most commonly used as a Security Stop for all incoming and outgoing traffic in your property. All persons, visitors, vehicles, trailers, and containers must stop with the security officer on duty to obtain permission and access to enter your property. Firewatch Security
Our Security Officers are trained to take the proper precautions to reduce the likehood of a fire, and also knowing how to react if a fire should occur. Our Security Officers are trained to classified the type of a fire and to choose the correct extinguisher during the incipient stage of a fire. Our Firewatch Security Officers are trained to identify unsafe work conditions, and to report the potential dangers observed while on duty. Our Security Officers will document and record all the information needed on the hot work permit or a city approved report stating the times of visits and the building numbers or description visited by our security officers while on duty. All of our Security Officers are licensed by the State of California, The Bureau of Security & Investigative Services (BSIS) and are trained to provide the highest level of professionalism.
Crowd Control, Sports and Special Events
This service is often used at large, public gatherings like street fairs, music festivals, stadiums and public rally’s. At some events, we recommend the use of metal detectors to prevent weapons being brought into a venue and the use of crowd control barriers. Our Security Officers will direct traffic keeping the crowd comfortable and relaxed by guiding people to continue to move in the right direction whether they’re coming in, going out, or making their way around inside. Security Officers will act with confidence and give information and directions to persons using a positive and gracious approach in order to make the pathways clear. We recommend the use of Security Officers during temporary building or pathway closures in order to offer alternate routes or instructions to the public and explain when the closures will be available again for use. This will have a positively impact on crowd control. Our Security Crowd Officers will enforce your house rules, treat patrons with respect, cooperate with law enforcement, and be neatly dressed.
Undercover Loss Prevention
Commonly known as undercover store agents. Prior to entering the field, our Loss Prevention Agents must complete the required in-house training, conducted by Loss Prevention Directors from Fortune 500 Companies. Our L.P. Agents are trained to identify the degrees of theft, detentions, examinations/investigations, use of force, reasonable search procedures, and report writing.
Active Shooter and Avade Training
Security Defense offers security guards, public, and corporate trainings on how to cope with an active shooter, how to respond when an active shooter is in your vicinity, how to respond when law enforcement officials arrive, recognizing and preventing a potential work place violence, and adopting your mind to survival mode during a time of crisis. We offer from basic power point presentations to advance physical self-defense techniques.
